The popular musical group Ajebo Hustlers has encouraged Nigerian artists to learn how to create “great music with depth.”
The duo stated that some Nigerian artists lack perspective, and that they should learn from Omah Lay.
On their X account, Ajebo Hustlers wrote: “Y’all need to learn how to make excellent music with depth!! Learn from Omah Lay!! Think about what Omah Lay would say if he heard this record!!! Because you lack perspective!! Y’all have nothing to talk about, and that’s boring as hell!!”
They, however, admitted that some talented artists are “dumbing down” their creativity to appeal to fans because they love mediocrity.
“Real artistes are trying to dumb down to gain relevance!!! Cause Na mediocrity una love,” they wrote.
