‘Please Release Him, He Is My Only Child’ – Mother Of Abducted Nigerian Singer Cries Out
The mother of fast-rising Nigerian artist Goodnews Emuemu, often known as Gnewzy, has urged his kidnappers to free him.
The singer’s manager, Obas9ice, who nearly escaped the encounter, stated that they were approached on Eklat Road in the state’s Ughelli area by armed individuals dressed in police uniforms.
Shortly after the singer was kidnapped, the kidnappers allegedly sent an email to the record label requesting a ransom of $200,000.
Confirming the occurrence, Dayo Showemimo, the record label’s project coordinator, said in a statement that they were now working with law officials to ensure Gnewzy’s safe return.
The company also urged members of the public to share any information they may have that could help the artiste’s safe return.
In a video that surfaced online, the distressed mother, unable to hold back her sobs, placed her hands on her head and begged the abductor to release his only son.
