Exclusive Interview with Miss Ugwu Joan Chigozie, Winner at Face Of The Month September edition Online  Contest hosted by TIG Entertainment!

Congratulations on finishing as the TOP MODEL at our TIG Face of the month online Contest, Can you tell us about yourself?

I am Ugwu Joan Chigozie by name. I am currently an undergraduate of Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture umudike in umuahia. Am from Enugu state in Udi local Government Area. Am the 8th and last child of my parents. I attended my nursery and primary school at Enugu state. My nursery at Immaculate heart of Mary ogui Enugu and my secondary at Government secondary School GRA Golf estate Enugu.

Such an amazing personality we have here.
What motivated you into modeling?

Firstly, it was push from family, friends and we’ll wishers.
They always told me to go in for modelling that i have the shape and the walking steps but i never really looked into what they where saying until this pandemic started. I now decided to give it a trial.

That mean your friends are your great motivators that push your dreams?

Exactly they are.

Do your parents accept you to become a model?

Yeah they will.

How long have you been into modelling and what are your challenges so far?

As i said before, i have never given modelling a thought until this pandemic started and this was my first performance which started on the September.
So judging from that, i would say is just a month and few weeks.
My challenges so far is just the monetary voting. People find it hard to vote,they all see modelling as a useless fortune.

How do you cope with modeling and your studies?

For now, school hasn’t started but when it does, I will put modelling to a halt till another holiday comes up

What’s your relationship status?

I am currently dating

What are your hobbies and interests?

I just love everything concerning music. It cures a lot of pains when listening to them

What’s your ideology about life?

Life isn’t a bed of roses, you have to struggle to make it in life and while struggling you should also struggle to make it after life. You should balance the two and make it be in equilibrium. As the saying goes”Give to ceasar what belongs to ceasar and give to God what belongs to God” the two must be balanced.
And last of all “Chop life in anyway you can before life chops you”

How did you get to know about the contest?

I was searching for recent pageantry when i saw it and decided to give it a trial

What are the negative and positive impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on you so far as an individual?

The negative impact is just the aspect of it reducing my pace for reading books but on the other side, it has alot of positive impact like Entrepreneurship. It really helped me to be self employed and some other positive impacts which i can’t mention here.
It has really been helpful.
Though i really need to go back to school because the negative impact is creating in terms of study is getting bad day after day.

What motivated you to participate in the contest?

Actually, it was the simplicity of the whole registering procedure.
Starting with uploading any picture from your phone and also the E- voting, it was very much affordable compared to that of others.
I just saw all that and decided to give it a trial

What were your challenges during the contest and how were you able to overcome them?

My main challenge was getting friends to vote for me.Some snubbed me, some saw me as a scammer and lots more.
I had to use my savings to vote for myself with some other helps from few Friends.

What can you say about the organizers of the contest?

Well, i will say more grease to their elbow.They are really up and doing and treats their contestants with so much respect. You guys are really awesome. Keep it up.

How do you feel emerging the top model?

I feel very Happy showing to the word that is all for the best and am not scammer that they think i am.
I feel so blessed and happy and i thank God for giving me the courage to strive on my own and reach to this extent.

What do you plan to do with the fame and popularity the contest have given you?

As i said earlier, is just to show to the world that God doesn’t disappoints.

Where do you intend seeing yourself in the next 5 years?

In the next 5 yrs i intend seeing myself as a very successful woman both intellectually and otherwise

What contribution will you add to the society as a model?

As a model, i will help educate the young youths out there on why modelling is important.
Firstly, it helps you meet new friends
Secondly, it helps bring out the hidden potentials in you and lots more

Any final words, who do you want to send a shout out to?

Firstly, I thank God the Lord Almighty who made it possible and provide the funds and the friends that voted.
Secondly, to my friends namely, Melody, Noble,Jasper and the rest of them, I say a very big thank you and lastly to my family and well wishers, i say a very big thank you and pray that the good Lord will bless you all for me.
