Archbishop Samson Benjamin Whisked Away By Police While Protesting At Chinese Embassy In Lagos

Archbishop Samson Mustapha Benjamin was arrested on Tuesday April 21, while protesting at the Chinese Embassy in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The General Overseer of Resurrection Praise Ministries International was accused of defying the lockdown order issued by President Buhari, to lead a protest he described as a “one man protest against the inhumane treatment of Nigerians and Africans at large in China”, after some Nigerians were ejected in the country.

Some Nigerians living in China had raised an alarm of allegedly being ejected from their homes and being forced into isolation facilities. This was later resolved after the Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Reps, Femi Gbajabiamila intervened.
